TIMES MAGAZINE #1 FICTION BOOK OF 2012
Many of you may have heard of this book in passing and it does live up to the
tear-jerker name its earned. However, John Green adds whimsical humor to this love
story dealing with teenage cancer patients as well. Hazel is a medical miracle as her cancer has stopped spreading; however her case is still terminal. She spends her days
watching reality T.V. and reading her favorite book, The Imperial
Affliction, over and over again trying to not think about what will become of her family and
friends when her time comes. But then she meets Augustus, and he makes her reexamine her life. Maybe her "story" is about to change. This book is moving, hilarious, thought-provoking, brilliant! Definitely a must-read! Also, check out John Green's other successful books: Looking for Alaska, Paper Towns, and An Abundance of Katherines.
P.S. Be sure to check out this book when it comes to theaters in June 2014...
